Eddington is a new neighbourhood which is being developed by the University in coordination with the City, and will provide homes for city residents as well as for University and College key workers and students.
This vibrant environment will include shops and restaurants, a nursery and a primary school, a state-of-the-art community centre and performing arts venue, university research facilities and more.
Sustainability measures have been integrated into every aspect of Eddington, and it is intended to last for hundreds of years – just like the old colleges.
Many universities produce spies, but Cambridge is in a class of its own.
Cambridge produced the spymaster who protected Queen Elizabeth I, many of the most prominent cryptographers of Bletchley Park and, most famously, spies for the KGB.
Cambridge’s record is also said to include the world’s most famous spy, who is usually known by a number and who studied Oriental Languages here, and his redoubtable assistant Miss Moneypenny.
